Congratulations and welcome to the 2019 season of Ottawa Juniors Competitive Ultimate Program! Now that you have made the roster for OJCUP, there is some paperwork and administration details you must complete to start your season.
All players and parents are required to provide registration information to OJCUP for administration purposes so please carefully follow each step below to complete your registration with OJCUP. Most of this paperwork is time-sensitive so it is imperative that you complete all steps in a timely manner. If you have any questions or problems completing this paperwork, please contact the OJCUP Admin firstname.lastname@example.org
A waiver must be signed by a parent/guardian and submitted each season prior to a player participating in any OJCUP event, which includes, but is not limited to: practices, tournaments, skill clinics, conditioning and training, social activities and meetings. Please review, download and sign the Waiver Signature Page and hand it in during the Players and Parents Meetings or Goal-Setting Meetings at the start of the season.
All players and parents are required to review their commitment and rules pertaining to participation with the OJCUP programs. Please download and sign each commitment document. Completed Player and Parent Commitments may be handed in during the Players and Parents Meetings or Goal-Setting Meetings at the start of the season.
Team Fee Payment is made online by credit card via OCUA’s website. If you have not yet done so, please create an account for your player on the OCUA website and login to that account to complete the team fee payment process.
NOTE: OCUA has been kind enough to allow us to use their online payment facility to process our team fee payments. As such, you may notice OCUA-related information when processing your team fee payment (i.e. confirmation page strictly relates to OCUA related activities). Kindly ignore those instructions and accept the terms from the dropdown box. If you have any questions regarding team fee payment or need to make alternate payment arrangements, please contact OJCUP Treasuer at email@example.com
For 2019, team fees will be collected in two instalments: the first needs to be paid by April 30, 2019 and the second by June 1, 2019. Also please note that once you have paid for the first instalment, OCUA’s payment portal (Zuluru) will inform you that “you have already paid for this event”. Please ignore this message and pay the 2nd instalment before June 1, 2019.
New this year, OCUA is charging a annual membership fee ($15). Although recreational junior players are not required to pay this annual membership fee, OJCUP players are competitive players and therefore, need to pay this annual membership fee.
OJCUP is a member of the OCUA Competitive Alliance and as such, each player is required to pay the OCUA Competitive Alliance fee each season. This fee allows OJCUP to reserve Ottawa area fields for practices at no cost, in addition to offering administrative support such as team fee collection and tryout booking! In exchange for receiving free practice field time, OCUA asks that all players “pay” for their field time through volunteering. Each player is required to volunteer with OCUA-sanctioned events for 8 hours (per player). At the start of the season, a “holding fee” of $120 per player is paid to OCUA. Once a player has fullfilled their 8 hour volunteer time commitment with OCUA, that $120 is refunded. Note that ALL 8 hours must be completed or no refund is issued (i.e. not pro-rated).
When selecting the Competitive Alliance fee option, select the one for $120 [Luna, Stella, Crank, Leverage, Shrike, OJCUP]
All OJCUP teams will play in the Ontario Junior Ultimate Championships. This year, the tournament will be held in Belleville, Ontario on July 13-14, 2019. Please continue to use the link to fill out Ultimate Canada paperwork (if not already done) and to pay for the accommodation fee.
For all players attending the Pioneer Valley Invitational May 18-19, 2019, additional registration, paperwork and payment is required. Please refer to the PVI page for instructions regarding finalizing your registration for PVI.
All OJCUP players are attending PVI unless there are extenuating circumstances
